Can I raise pets or livestock?

The covenants allow for the keeping of pets and livestock, within certain limits. Owners may not own pigs or goats, and may keep a maximum of 2 horses per acre. Other livestock may be kept as long as it does not present a nuisance to the association.

Raising animals for commercial purposes is prohibited. Household pets may be kept in numbers that would be considered normal for a rural subdivision. The board has determined that four dogs per household is the maximum that should be considered normal. Pets and livestock must be kept within the confines of the lot, and cannot create a nuisance in the neighborhood.
